How assignment works on a shared checklist.
Can I assign people and squads together?
Yes. Assign a checklist, section or item to people, squads, or a combination. They share the work on one checklist; each completed step counts once.
Do sections inherit the checklist assignment?
Yes. Whoever has the whole checklist covers every section and step in it. Give a section or a step its own people when part of the job belongs to someone in particular.
Can I assign work before starting a checklist?
Yes. When you start a checklist from a template, choose who does the whole checklist and any section or step, then create it with the assignments in place.
Is the owner always assigned to do the work?
No. Starting a checklist makes you its owner: you can assign it, change it, step in on any step and finish it. The work itself goes to whoever you assign.
